Sustainability is at the heart of the IKEA business. At IKEA Tempe, we’re committed to creating a more sustainable future. Caring for your most prized possessions is something we all try our utmost to do, and here at IKEA Tempe, we’re no exception. Whether you want to breathe new life into unwanted items, or part ways with them for good, we’re here to help.
IKEA Tempe has launched a new furniture take back pilot, encouraging customers to recycle unwanted goods and help the local community*. If you don’t want your IKEA products any more, and they are still in good condition, consider bringing them back to IKEA Tempe. Allowing you to upcycle your unwanted goods instead of throwing them away and minimising the contribution to landfill. If your item(s) qualifies for this service, we will reward you by providing you with a voucher to be spent at IKEA Tempe.
Don’t have a car to bring your item back to store? No problem. We have also partnered with GoGet during this pilot period to offer our customers free* two hour access to a GoGet vehicle to return the product to IKEA.
And it doesn’t stop there. You can also learn how to breathe new life into old materials and learn new DIY skills through our free in-store workshops. Learn a new skill and move towards a more sustainable life.
*This service is available only at the IKEA Tempe store.
We are adopting circular economy thinking into the way we work by finding new ways to work with our materials to expand the life of our products. Moving to a circular economy is essential if we are to continue to meet the needs and dreams of the many, while staying within the limits of one planet. We want to do our part and take the lead in creating a waste-free and regenerative economy.
